HRI Participates in Launch of €9.1m PEACEPLUS Health Frontiers Technology Innovation Centre
HRI has joined Ulster University's €9.1m PEACEPLUS Health Frontiers Technology Innovation Centre as an industry partner within the Connected Health & Wellbeing Cluster.
Heart Rhythm International has joined the Health Frontiers Technology Innovation Centre (HF-TIC) in Belfast as an industry partner within the Connected Health & Wellbeing Cluster.
Backed by €9.1 million in PEACEPLUS funding and led by Ulster University, HF-TIC is a cross-border initiative designed to accelerate healthcare innovation across Ireland, Northern Ireland, and beyond. The programme brings together clinicians, researchers, technology partners, and industry leaders to translate research into practical solutions that improve patient outcomes and strengthen healthcare systems.
HRI's involvement reflects a natural alignment between the Centre's objectives and HRI's work in AI-enabled cardiac rhythm management and living clinical infrastructure. As a company that has spent 17 years building connected, data-driven cardiac services at national scale, HRI brings direct experience in the type of cross-site, cross-border digital health infrastructure that HF-TIC aims to develop.
The Centre will focus on accelerating innovation in digital health, artificial intelligence, MedTech, and cross-border clinical collaboration, areas where HRI is already operating and contributing to EU-funded research through initiatives such as the Horizon Europe CARAMEL project.
